Dramas

Chicago Fire | Skip

One of the worst and blatantly cliche procedurals in years.

Do No Harm | DVR

Something unique, character driven and dark for NBC. I can’t see myself continuously watching, but the performance from Steven Pasquale is worth a recording.

Infamous | Skip

Meagan Good is more than good, but this series has no sense of urgency and is basically a second rate Revenge.

Revolution | Watch

It has some nice and interesting creative choices that should impress. Better than most science fiction pilots in the last few years.

Comedies

1600 Penn | DVR

The premise is a total gimmick, but Josh Gad carries this pilot, and it’s worth recording for him alone.

Animal Practice | Skip

Cute animals don’t make a good comedy.

Go On | Watch

This show is like a mix between Enlightened and Community. The pilot definitely has its flaws, but overall it’s a very heartwarming show without being sentimental. This could be something great.

Guys With Kids | Skip

I’m really not sure what NBC is thinking with this one. If there was ever a pilot to skip, it’s this.

Next Caller | Skip

The setting is slightly off kilter, which is a good thing. Regardless, this comedy is horrendous.

The New Normal | DVR

It has its moments. The pilot left me feeling insulted, but I would give this a recording to see where it’s headed and for buzz alone.
