The Kids Are All Right

Anne Benning and Julianne Moore are genius as a married lesbian couple who’’s children decide to seek out their sperm donor. Calamity ensues.  Sharp because the dialogue is quick and on point. Funny because I’m not told when to laugh, but I do anyway. Quick because it never drags, when it easily could have. Emotional and subtle because the portrayal of a middle aged married couple is quite groundbreaking in the sense that there is no agenda here. These two women are portrayed as any other married couple, regardless of gender. And their children are in fact, just fine. The movie basically begs to be seen. Reviews can’t possibly do it justice. The best movie of the year, so far.
